Tube / rod / bar

Tube, rod and bar — as machining stock, or delivered already cut, drilled and turned.

Tube / rod / bar — extruded aluminium profile

01Have these ready

Six things that turn a slow quote into a fast one.

01
Section shape — round, square, rectangular
Points at the die or the stock shelf
02
Outside dimensions and wall thickness
Pins down the exact section
03
Alloy and temper — 6060 / 6061 / 6063 / 6082
Machinability, strength and cost all follow
04
Cut length and quantity
Feeds the cut plan and the price
05
Mill finish or anodized
Fixes the surface before packing
06
Straightness / cosmetic requirement
Becomes the acceptance criterion we test against

04Three confirmations before production

01

Can we make it?

The section is identified as stock or made-to-order, and the alloy confirmed for your use.

02

Machining & finish agreed

Cut lengths, any drilling or turning, and mill or anodized surface are written into the quote.

03

Proof before shipping

Dimensions and straightness are checked against the agreed criteria, certificates included as needed.

Machining and surface treatment happen here, in the same plant — CNC & machining · Finishing.

05Quality & certification

Heat and lot numbers follow every batch
Dimensional reports measured against the signed drawing
Coating-thickness and salt-spray checks on finished surfaces

06Frequently asked questions

Stock sections or extrude-to-order?

Common sections move as stock; anything else is extruded to your drawing. Dimensions and quantity in the RFQ tell us which shelf — or which press — your order comes from, and the quote says so.

Best alloy for parts we'll machine ourselves?

6061 and 6082 cut cleanly and hold strength; 6060 and 6063 suit lighter, form-heavy work. If you tell us the part instead of just the bar, the recommendation covers temper too.

Cut-to-length with a straightness spec — possible?

Routine. State the acceptance criterion — straightness per metre, end-cut squareness, cosmetic class — and it is quoted and tested as written, not interpreted later.

What's the minimum quantity?

It varies by section and alloy, so we would rather price your actual numbers than publish a figure that misleads. Sizes plus quantities gets you a real minimum by return.
